Tuxedo Park

Tuxedo Park is located just north of the center of Buckhead, north of West Paces Ferry Road between Northside Drive, Powers Ferry and Roswell Road.

The neighborhood’s history dates back to the 1800’s when the area was primarily farm land. It was later developed into residential residences as some of Atlanta’s most affluent built large estates to serve as their summer homes. The location was attractive then because it was removed from the hustle and bustle of growing Atlanta. Residences were built on spacious wooded lots, and nestled between trees and rolling hills. Although the city of Atlanta has grown to surround this once removed area, Tuxedo Park still maintains its park like feel, providing residents with an aura of seclusion and escape, just as it did in the 1800s.

Today, Tuxedo Park is a beautiful area in Buckhead made up of magnificent historic mansions, picturesque landscaping, and some new construction homes. In recent years, some of the very large estates have been purchased and subdivided by developers, creating even more housing options in this highly sought after and prestigious Buckhead neighborhood. Architectural styles for the historic homes in Tuxedo Park include English, French, Mediterranean, and Colonial Revival, while many of the newer homes are more traditional.

The Buckhead public schools for Tuxedo Park children include: Warren T. Jackson Elementary, Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School.
