Buckhead’s public elementary schools have been recognized nationally and continue to be some of the most sought after in Atlanta. All Buckhead public elementary schools feed into Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School.

E. Rivers Elementary

There are approximately 475 students at E. Rivers Elementary, and around 50 teachers and other professionals who make up the school’s faculty.

Garden Hills Elementary is a beautiful historic building on the National Register of Historic Places. The following Buckhead neighborhoods are served by Garden Hills Elementary: Garden Hills, Peachtree Park, Peachtree Heights, Martin Manor, and the Streets of Buckhead.

There are approximately 550 students enrolled at Garden Hills elementary. Student class sizes range from 18 to 23.

Sutton Middle School

Sutton Middle School is the public middle school for all of the Buckhead neighborhoods within the city of Atlanta. 

Sutton Middle School has 901 students, in grades 6-8.

Parents are very involved in the Sutton PTA and give the school high ratings per greatschools.net.

Sutton offers 7th and 8th grade students 14 different sports opportunities in addition to many different extra curricular activities.

North Atlanta High School is the public high school for all Buckhead neighborhoods within the city of Atlanta. The school serves over 1,200 students in grades 9-12.

North Atlanta High is a double Magnet School. The School of International Studies and the Center for the Performing Arts are two of the most outstanding programs offered by the Atlanta Public Schools.

North Atlanta offers a wide range of sports, electives, clubs and other extra curricular activities for students.
